The Spirit of San Francisco is a service committee as described in the 9th Tradition of Alcoholics Anonymous:
A.A., as such, ought never be organized; but we may create service boards or committees directly responsible to those they serve
The Spirit of San Francisco Convention is a convention hosted by members of Alcoholics Anonymous with Al-Anon participation. This convention seeks to be an extension of the recovery program maintaining sobriety and establishing unity through the use of the Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions of Alcoholics Anonymous.
The committee is open to all AAs and Al-Anons who are interested in this annual event. The core is comprised of volunteers who serve a one year commitment. They act as officers and chairpersons to perform the functions necessary to plan and host the Convention and other events throughout the year.
Our leaders are but trusted servants. Group conscious is our guide.
